Start your project ↗The organization is dedicated to empowering Hispanic-owned businesses and professionals in the Greater Rochester area, founded in 1989 to promote economic and educational advancements for the Hispanic community. It offers a networking platform, celebrates Hispanic heritage, and provides updates and information to its members. Annually, it honors an individual with the Hispanic Business Person of the Year award, acknowledging their contributions to the business community and highlighting the impact of Hispanic professionals and entrepreneurs.
The Small Business Council of Rochester (SBC), an affiliate of Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, has a lot to offer businesses in the Greater Rochester area. Led by an entirely volunteer but dedicated group of Rochester’s small business leaders, the Small Business Council of Rochester is committed to providing Rochester’s business community with programs to help local business leaders, and their businesses, grow and prosper, both personally and professionally.
Women Business Enterprise Certification with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), a private third-party that certifies women-owned businesses on behalf of U.S. corporations or WBE certification through city, county or state programs.
Women of Excellence identifies high-achieving women for their tremendous career accomplishments. The women are selected based on their professional experience, community involvement, leadership and sustained commitment to mentoring.
The internationally-recognized ATHENA Award® Program was founded in 1982 in Lansing, Michigan by ATHENA International Founder Martha Mertz. The award was originally established to honor the achievements of exceptional women leaders.
